Dead Within!

Empty room, empty classes,

Destroyed buildings, broken glasses!

The scene so common and clear to eyes,

Unnecessary war costing many lives.

I've grown up seeing all this and I am

Dead within!

War-torn sights say that I am

Dead within!

Stained blood on the walls,

Bullet holes on silent halls.

There's bombardment on ugly streets,

So horrible sight, and everyone pleads.

You say I'm not, but I am

Dead within!

Bury me with my soul 'cause I am

Dead within!

Crazy wars all over the world,

And we are not uttering a single word.

Fire everywhere and we're heated up,

And the world says we're being cheated up.

Oh my God, what you've done? I am

Dead within!
